Peer Reviewer Process
JOURNEY: Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Excellence implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of each submitted manuscript. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to assess their suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, as well as compliance with basic submission requirements. Manuscripts that pass this initial screening will be forwarded to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, scientific quality, methodology, clarity of presentation, relevance, and contribution to the field of tourism and hospitality. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback and clear recommendations, such as accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
The final decision on each manuscript is made by the editor based on reviewers’ recommendations. If revisions are required, authors will be given the opportunity to revise their manuscript accordingly before a final decision is issued.
The journal is committed to a fair, objective, and timely review process in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
