Publication Ethics
Entrepreneur Insight Journal: Business and Innovation is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This publication ethics statement is based on the principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher, are expected to uphold ethical standards and academic integrity.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that:
- Submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been published or submitted simultaneously to another journal.
- All sources of data, information, and ideas from other authors are properly cited and referenced.
- The manuscript does not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data.
- Authorship is limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.
- All co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript before submission.
- Any financial support, funding sources, or potential conflicts of interest are disclosed.
- Errors discovered after publication are promptly reported to the editor for correction or retraction if necessary.
Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Evaluating manuscripts solely on the basis of academic merit, originality, relevance, and contribution to the journal’s scope.
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and related communications.
- Ensuring a fair, objective, and unbiased peer-review process.
- Making publication decisions without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, political beliefs, or institutional affiliation.
- Taking appropriate action when ethical concerns, complaints, or allegations of misconduct arise.
- Preventing conflicts of interest in the editorial and review processes.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Conduct reviews objectively, fairly, and constructively.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all manuscript information.
- Provide clear, evidence-based, and timely evaluations.
- Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
- Inform the editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.
- Decline review assignments when a conflict of interest exists.
Publication Misconduct
The journal does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including but not limited to:
- Plagiarism
- Self-plagiarism
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Citation manipulation
- Authorship manipulation
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest
Any manuscript found to involve unethical practices may be rejected, retracted, or removed from publication. The editorial board reserves the right to take appropriate actions following COPE guidelines.
Conflicts of Interest
All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any relationships, financial interests, or affiliations that could influence the objectivity of the research, review, or publication process.
Corrections and Retractions
When significant errors, inaccuracies, or ethical violations are identified in a published article, the journal will publish corrections, retractions, or other appropriate notices to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
