Author Guidelines
Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to ADHERENCE: Journal of Study HIV-AIDS should follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth review and publication process.
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- The manuscript should be written in clear and academic English.
- Submissions must be relevant to the focus and scope of the journal.
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data, references, and statements presented in the manuscript.
- All manuscripts must comply with publication ethics and academic integrity standards.
2. Types of Manuscripts
The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

- Community-Based Research and Intervention Studies
3. Manuscript Structure
For Original Research Articles:
- Title

4. Title and Abstract
- The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the manuscript.
- The abstract should clearly describe the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.
- Avoid citations and abbreviations in the abstract whenever possible.
5. Keywords
- Provide 3–5 keywords relevant to the manuscript.
- Keywords should assist indexing and article discoverability.
6. References
- References should be relevant, recent, and primarily derived from scholarly sources.
- Authors are encouraged to use references published within the last ten years.
- Citations and references should follow the APA (7th Edition) style.
- The use of reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is recommended.
7. Tables and Figures
- Tables and figures must be clearly numbered and titled.
- All tables and figures should be cited in the text.
- Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted material used.
8. Ethical Considerations
- Research involving human participants must receive approval from an appropriate ethics committee where applicable.
- Informed consent must be obtained from participants when required.
- Authors must protect participant confidentiality and privacy, particularly in studies involving people living with HIV/AIDS and other vulnerable populations.
9. Plagiarism Policy
- All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism before the peer-review process.
- Manuscripts containing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, or other forms of academic misconduct will be rejected.
10. Conflict of Interest
- Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that may influence the research or interpretation of findings.
- If no conflict of interest exists, authors should state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
11. Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
- Authors should ensure that all required metadata and supporting documents are completed during submission.
- Incomplete submissions may be returned to the authors before review.
12. Peer Review Process
- All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening.
- Suitable manuscripts will be evaluated through a peer-review process conducted by independent reviewers.
- Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments before a final decision is made.
13. Copyright and Licensing
- Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish and disseminate the article.
- Published articles may be distributed under the journal’s applicable open-access licensing policy.
